Step #5 Initial Interpretations of Figures and Configurations

If you want, you can do this step before you do your initial house delineations.

Let’s call up the chart:

We’ll begin with the major configuration in the chart and that is Moon opposition Sun.

Hopefully, when we said “opposition” people didn’t go into a total tizzy freaking panic and break their nose, knock out their teeth and bust their lip. You have to stop thinking in terms of the silly “hard” and “soft” aspects. For those of you who don’t, good for you.

Concepts we’ll be using:

• Natures of the stars
• Signs
• Figures & Configurations
• Left vs Right

In case you don’t already know, all figures and configurations are by signs. There are no orbs. To the extent that there might be orbs, the orb is the sign. It’s the signs that make aspects to each other. That is one of the fundamental concepts of astrology. The stars only make aspects because they happen to be in signs that make aspects.

Active Signs vs Passive Signs

The nature of Moon is to gather or change. That of Sun is to select or elevate. For those reasons a Moon-Sun opposition indicates change. We always list the faster star first in an opposition.

The Moon-Sun opposition is on what axis? The 11th/5th Axis. What are the 11th and 5th Houses? The 11th House is the House of Good Fate and the 5th House is the House of Random Chance Gook Luck.

Oooh, baby! You’re already halfway done.

See those little frilly things around the chart? Those are signs. They’re not there for decoration to make the chart look all pretty and stuff. We actually use them. You need to use them, too.

Sun is in the Gemini 11th House and Moon in the Sagittarius 5th House. Gemini and Sagittarius are double-bodied signs and Sagittarius is also a bicorporal sign. Solid or fixed signs usually indicate “one.” The double-bodied signs and the bicorporal signs (not the same thing) typically indicate “two” or “three.” The tropical signs tell us anywhere from 3 to 12 times. We’ve seen one aspect play out as many as 12 times in a person’s chart. Each time was effectively a “variation on a theme” but always with the same sour results because that was the nature of that aspect.

What else can you say about Gemini and Sagittarius? They’re typically referred to as diurnal or masculine signs. We don’t find that very helpful. We like active signs. Active signs indicate things that come about quickly, sometimes abruptly and they last only a few years.

Trump effectively had 3 different careers: businessman, television entertainer, and politician. However, within those 3 careers he had many different incarnations as a businessman and as a television entertainer, and then Trump was incarnated as president and then reincarnated as president.

Sun-Mars-Jupiter-Moon Configuration

What kind of changes are Moon and Sun going to produce, good or bad? Moon and Sun are Lights, not planets. Both are heavily dependent on other stars in aspect to them to see how they work. The entire configuration is Sun right sextile Mars right sextile Jupiter right sextile Moon opposition Sun. within that are two separate configurations:

• Sun right trine Jupiter right sextile Moon opposition Sun; and
• Sun right sextile Mars right trine Moon opposition Sun

Make sure you understand Left vs Right because that is how figures are interpreted and it’s why Modern astrologers are always wrong. It is the star on the right that is attempting to push its nature onto the star on the left and its ability to do that is based on the condition of the star, the signs, and the houses they’re in. It might help to read Plato’s Philebus, Timaeus, Critias and The Republic to better understand Form & Matter as it relates to the natures of the stars.

Sun-Jupiter Sextiles and Trines

As always, consider the very nature of the stars you’re investigating:

• Sun: selects or elevates
• Mars: severs or separates
• Jupiter: affirms or stabilizes

Based on their very natures we can conclude that sextiles and trines between Sun and Jupiter are likely to be positive while squares and oppositions can go either way, good or bad.

The fact that Sun selects or elevates combined with Jupiter’s affirming and stabilizing nature tells us the person will have some level of fame or recognition and an abundant income. “Abundant” does not mean rich or wealthy, although it certainly could mean that. At the very least you’ll have a roof over your head, food to eat and clothes to wear and a little extra for the gratuitous material things in life.

On the left we have the chart of Jessica Hahn who was famous and wealthy as indicated by Sun right trine Jupiter. What does retrograde Jupiter being the domicile ruler of the Sagittarius 2nd House tell you? That fame and wealth will dissolve at some future point and it did because that is what was supposed to happen. Even though she faded from the lime-light and lost a huge chunk of her wealth she wonted for nothing. She was married to a Hollywood director-producer but even without his income she would still live comfortably.

On the right, we see Jupiter right trine Sun. There’s a sight difference between Sun right trine Jupiter and Jupiter right trine Sun. Again we see retrograde Jupiter who was stationary D-7 before turning retrograde on D-6 (“D-7” means 7 days before birth and “D-6” means 6 days before birth).

The other critical factor when assessing fame and wealth is the chart type. We cover chart type assessments in the advanced section. Everything pertaining to fame, wealth, social rank, status, and reputation are relative to the chart type. National and international fame requires an Elite Chart or a Ruling Chart and should come as no surprise that less than 15% of the population have them.

Just as the domicile ruler of the 8th House in the 9th House indicates someone will die away from home, the domicile ruler, master or lord of the 9th House in the 6th House indicates the same.

Anonymous 377 lived an middle-class to upper-middle-class life-style before she was murdered giving her a few brief moments of fame. Before she was callously and rudely murdered by her husband, she was quite successful in her career field. We’ll study this chart in greater detail in the advanced section because someone being murdered by their spouse (or by their spouse’s jealous lover) is something you need to know how to see in a chart.

Note that in the chart of Anonymous 377, Moon is the domicile lord of the Scorpio 5th House since domicile ruler Mars is in aversion in the 12th House and water trigon ruler Jupiter is in aversion in the 6th House making the other water trigon ruler Moon the domicile lord. No, sorry, Moon is not “in fall” in Scorpio.

Domicile ruler of the 5th House in the 12th House. Domicile lord of the 5th House in the 5th House occupied by Scorpio, a violent sign. Did we mention Anonymous 377 was pregnant at the time her jack-ass husband murdered her? To say he killed her is absurd since it implies he did it accidentally, or was negligent and that negligence resulted in her death, or that she died by misadventure. No, he did it intentionally with premeditation and malice aforethought.

The difference between Sun right trine Jupiter and Jupiter right trine Sun is the level of fame and amount of income or wealth. That can be modified by other factors in the chart. One thing we wanted you to see in the chart of Anonymous 377 is that where you have Jupiter right trine Sun and Sun is in the 10th House and the domicile ruler and master of the Leo 2nd House it does not indicate high levels of fame or income. It does indicate a good reputation or career and abundant income.

Some of you may have noticed in the chart of Anonymous 377 that Saturn at Capricorn 6° in a right trine to Venus at Taurus 6° is in the same degree. Accordingly, Saturn is elevated, glorified or bonified. You will come to learn that just as exalted stars are not always the best thing since the microwave oven, a star that is bonifed or elevated is not always your best friend, either. Exalted stars and bonified stars are not “stronger” but they do have a greater degree of freedom to do what they will for better or worse. Here, it was definitely the worst case scenario.

Back to Donald Trump.

Sun right trine Jupiter here is indicative of fame and abundant wealth. When we did our station-checking recall that Jupiter is stationary-turning-direct which is a very positive thing. The fame is emphasized for several reasons one being Sun as domicile ruler and master of the Leo 1st House and Jupiter as domicile ruler and master of the Sagittarius 5th House. The other reason —this is advanced astrology— Sun is conjunct the Lot of Exaltation in the 11th House. Sun in the 11th House and Jupiter in the 3rd House tells you how that wealth comes about but Mercury as domicile ruler and master of the Virgo 2nd House in the 12th House tells you he loses quite a bit of money.

Sun-Mars Sextiles and Trines

The planetary joys teach sect and if you’ve noticed anything, the diurnal sect sitting at the top of the chart are the thinking stars. The nocturnal sect at the bottom of the chart under the Earth are the “hands-on” stars. Mercury the common star can be either, and sometimes is both a thinking star and a hands-on star.

All leaders are managers, but not all managers are leaders. Sun trine Jupiter or Saturn can indicate administrators or managers (relative to the chart type). Managers don’t always manage people. Sometimes they manage land or trust accounts. What Mars brings to the table is action —leadership. Mars is the star that has power over life and death. It’s what separates executives, managers and administrators from judges, high-ranking military commanders, governors and heads-of-State.

You always want Sun in a right sextile or trine to Mars. When Mars is in a right sextile or trine to Sun in a diurnal chart it tends to produce “dark” people.

George H. Bush

When you see what is sometimes called a “grand trine” involving Sun-Mars-Jupiter or Sun-Mars-Saturn (Moon in lieu of Sun in a nocturnal chart) portends high rank. Bush as a CIA contractor and later as a White House Staff member, the CIA Director and as President of the United States was involved in many of the dark chapters of U.S. history that few Americans understand or even know about.

Remember your rules of astrology. Mercury in Taurus is in aversion to the Gemini 10th House and cannot testify to the events related to it. Venus is also in aversion making retrograde Saturn the domicile lord of the Gemini 10th House. The retrograde Saturn and Mars in a right trine to Sun tells you Bush will be forced out of office in some way which happened when Bush lost his bid for re-election.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

In FDR’s chart we have Sun in a right trine to Mars in the Gemini 10th House. The effect is heightened since Moon spear-bears for Mars. Mercury as domicile ruler and master of Gemini is not afflicted by being in the same degree as Mars because a spear-bearer or protected star will not afflict other stars.

FDR was governor of New York State. Context and perspective are important. Since New York is larger in population and has a higher GDP (Gross Domestic Product) than many European countries, being governor of New York is like being a head-of-State. Likewise, being mayor of New York city is —astrologically speaking— superior to being the governor of Vermont since New York city has 10 times the population and a greater GDP than the State of Vermont. FDR was also elected 4 times as president of the United States and it is Sun right trine Mars —not Mars right trine Sun— that creates that longevity.

A sextile does not always produce the longevity that a trine does. When Valens says sextiles are “weak” that is what he means. The effect of sextiles in fire/air signs generally do not last as long as those in earth/water signs. That is why you need to avoid using “strong” and “weak” since it is invariably dumbed-down and misconstrued as “sextiles are not likely to produce events” which is simply not true at all.

Moon-Mars Sextiles and Trines

As we discussed in the chart of Kamala Harris, Mars right sextile or trine Moon is always preferable to Moon right sextile or trine Mars. The reason is that when Moon is on the right it exacts a price to be paid which is something you sacrifice to achieve success. In the Bob Fosse’s chart we showed he sacrificed his health which is why he died of heart attack at age 60. In the chart of Kamala Harris, she sacrificed a lucrative career in the private sector to be a pubic servant.

Mars on the right does not exact a price. Generally, Mars-Moon sextiles and trines in a nocturnal chart indicate a higher rank due to the fact that Moon is the sect light effectively functioning as Sun in a diurnal chart and always relative to chart type.

Moon-Jupiter Sextiles and Trines

Again, use the basic natures. Moon right sextile/ Jupiter has Moon attempting to push it’s nature to gather or change onto Jupiter. For that reason, Jupiter right sextile/trine Moon is preferable since Jupiter is pushing its nature to affirm or stabilize onto Moon (who likes to change things up).

It indicates high rank and status (relative to the chart type) in business or commerce. With Mars sextile/trine then high military rank (relative to the chart type). There’s a special condition when Moon is full signals a politician. Since Moon’s daily motion is 13° it’s orb. Consider Moon full when 13° applying to the exact opposition to Sun or separating but not more than 13° away.

Stupid people think sextiles are “weak.” We told you there’s no such thing as “strong” or “weak” in astrology. Donald Trump’s “weak” sextile is one (but not the only) reason he was elected president twice. There’s about 5 Billion charts that blow the whole silly stupid “sextiles are weak” thing right out of the water.

That being said, there is a difference between sextiles and trines. That difference is longevity. The effects produced by a trine or sextile is dependent in part on the signs the stars are in. The fire-air signs indicate things of shorter duration while earth-water tells us it is a longer duration. The phase cycles are important. Sun in a right trine to Jupiter in this configuration —Sun right trine Jupiter right sextile Moon opposition Sun— tells you Jupiter is still in a rising phase meaning something begins early in life rather than later.

Co-Presence

Co-presence is two (or more) stars in the same sign. There is no “orb.” It’s a simple question: Are two (or more) stars in the same sign, yes, or no? It doesn’t matter if they’ve separated or not. They just have to be in the same sign to for the effect to show itself. Here’s where things like “strong” and “weak” and “possibilities” and “potentials” lead you astray and give wrong interpretations. Think of it this way:

• Co-presence as being pregnant
• Concourse (two or more stars within 15° in the same sign) as being 3 months pregnant
• Engagement Jupiter applying to Saturn within 3° as being 6 months pregnant
• Jupiter and Saturn precisely joined as being 9 months pregnant

You’ll notice Venus has separated from Saturn. It might help to read colors and flavors so’s you know how to use them the right way. What colors do the stars signify or represent? Clear. The color “clear.” Very good. What flavors do the stars signify or represent? Distilled rainwater for our precious bodily fluids. What does distilled water taste like? It has no taste.

Colors only apply to aspects and co-presence is not an aspect. Flavors apply to co-presence. Because the stars are in the same sign their natures are automatically —just like your Mr. Coffee automatically turns on in the morning— blended together. The fact that stars have separated from other stars in the same sign means nothing as far as the effect produced.

Venus approaches Saturn, is engaged at 3° and Saturn gives Venus a big sloppy French kiss. Venus separates at 1° on the other side of Saturn. What kind of taste does Saturn leave in the mouth of Venus? Astringent or sour. You need to know that when interpreting the so not cool Venus right square Jupiter figure later.

Saturn rejects or restricts, Mercury argues or destabilizes and Venus unifies or reconciles. From that we know Trump is intelligent, shrewd and cunning, often lying or exaggerating. Maternus tells us “…[they] are rendered insensitive by a rigid way of seeing…” You can’t agree 99% with Trump. It’s 100% or your out the door like the X-twitter electric car guy who was in charge of DOGE or Il Doge, whatever it was. He surrounds himself with sycophants who only tell him what he wants to hear, a lot like Emperor Nero:

Nero: Is Rome burning?
Sycophant: No, your royal pain in the arse. That’s just a big giant weenie roast.

Valens tells us it results in debts and lawsuits stemming from writings (contracts) or commerce and the influence of Venus causes “…relationships with vile and public prostitutes and suffer damage and convictions.” It creates issues in marriages and makes for glib speakers. Mercury and Saturn together are not very effective pubic speakers but Venus smooths that over.

Venus with Saturn indicates marital problems and adding Mercury into the mix tells you why, in part, because he’s about trophy wives —Venus is domicile ruler and master of the Taurus 10th House indicating the spouse since we aren’t using the 8-House System and this is a natal chart, not an horary chart.

Mercury-Jupiter Squares

The next figuration is Mercury right square Jupiter. Right squares are always overcoming. There’s a difference between Mercury pushing its nature to argue or destabilize onto Jupiter and its nature to affirm and stabilize and then Jupiter pushing its nature on Mercury. Mercury right square Jupiter shows us people who are not without resources, and they are overly excessive in their actions bordering on megalomania. They’ll do things contrary to their own best interest and have have questionable morals.

Jupiter right square Mercury is the opposite indicating administrators, academics, science, finance or accounting.

Jupiter-Saturn Squares

When Jupiter right squares Saturn, it is Jupiter that is overcoming and it portends successes. It’s a condition-based figure meaning someone is successful at something and the houses controlled by Jupiter and Saturn tells you where or how that success comes about. It can also manifest as events. You attempt something and your efforts are rewarded with success. The condition of Jupiter and Saturn tells you if that success comes easy-peasy-lemon-squeey or if you have to work your butt off to achieve that success or somewhere in-between.

Saturn right square Jupiter is the opposite. It can come about as:

• Failure(s); or
• Being demoted or fired, or losing your position, status and power; or
• Financial losses of income, property or assets; or
• A disturbing event.

Because of the signs we can rule out the disturbing event, and since neither Jupiter nor Saturn have anything to do with Trump’s 10th House, we can rule out being demoted or fired, or losing position, power or status, leaving us with these options:

• Failure(s); or
• Financial losses of income, property or assets

As a beginner, don’t fret the dumb stuff. This is your initial chart delineation and it isn’t necessary to determine right now this second whether it means failure(s) or financial losses. You can revisit it later but in this chart it’s pretty obvious it is financial losses. We know that because Saturn is co-present with Mercury and Venus with Mercury being domicile ruler and master of the Virgo 2nd House and Venus the domicile master of the 8th House (legal matters and lawsuits). We know from the tropical signs there will be multiple events. It is a fact Trump had to file a business bankruptcy on 6 different occasions to protect his income, property and assets, and the income, property and assets of his business partners from substantial losses. The Libra 3rd House is the derived 2nd House of his business partners, so that is their income, property and assets.

Like we said, astrology is the original WYSIWYG.

Venus-Jupiter Squares

Jupiter right square Venus is a most splendid figure creating many positive alliances and good friendships nurtured by women or involving women, and success, and when Venus is the significator of career it shows management level in Venusian industries.

Venus right square Jupiter —which is what we’re looking at here— is the “nasty love” aspect. In indicates adultery, illicit sex or sordid romances (the latter doesn’t require sexual union). If you don’t understand the meaning of “illicit” it is sex that is illegal or immoral or both like sex with prostitutes, call girls (pronounced /ˈprɑː.stə.tuːt/), pedophilia, paraphelia, bestiality and the like.

Don’t be obtuse. If your spouse or potential partner has this figure in their chart it doesn’t mean they’re committing adultery 24/7. According to the U.S. Supreme court, if one party in a relationship is married, that’s adultery, so your spouse or partner might have had an adulterous relationship while they were single before they met you and they’re sailing straight as an arrow now. Or it could mean you’re the other party.

As a reminder, astrology is the original WYSIWYG. If it’s in the chart, it is guaranteed to happen.

Know what that does? Makes people look stupid. What it doesn’t do is it does not alter reality. We’ll keep ramming charts down people’s throats until they understand WYSIWYG is the real deal.

Venus right square Mars and Mars right square Venus mean the same. WYSIWYG. Don Eisle was an astronaut who almost got booted from the program by NASA because of an adulterous affair. Note Venus as domicile ruler of the Taurus 8th House which is lawsuits and legal matters because that is not an horary chart. Eisle ended up in a divorce and married the other woman. Also note Sun opposition Saturn indicating a difficult death. Eisle died of a heart attack at age 57 while traveling in Japan on business foretold by Moon-Mars in the 8th House. And some people think an exalted star is the best thing since the streaming.

Does Trump get caught? What consequences does he suffer, if any?

Remember, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are co-present in the 12th House functioning as a team with Venus as domicile master of the Pisces 8th House and Mercury domicile ruler and master of the Virgo 2nd House. Yes, there are multiple occurrences since Cancer and Libra are tropical signs. We already determined earlier that Saturn left a sour taste in Venus’ mouth after Venus separated after bodily joining Saturn which gives a clue how this Venus right square Jupiter figure will go. Trump’s adulterous affair led to a divorce, and then to a lawsuit from the porno-stripper thing Windy Wendy, plus one of the contestants on his TV show sued him for sexual assault, and there are more than 2 dozens allegations of sexual harassment or sexual assault by women, and then the State of New York filed a criminal complaint against Trump alleging he attempted to bribe Stormy Windy or whatever her name was to get her to dismiss her civil suit. WYSIWYG.

Modern astrologers would say, “You need to use your Venusian energies, blah, blah, blah, blah…”

Um, they cannot. The chart is telling you they cannot, and even more embarrassing, the chart is telling you why they cannot. People don’t change. If you don’t know that, it’s because you haven’t taken any psychology courses at the college level. Change requires years and years and years of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy most likely combined with Cognitive Processing Therapy. People have to recognize and admit they have a problem before anything can be done and people don’t or won’t, and even if they do, they’re too afraid to step out of their comfort zone.
