Negation & Issues

Affliction negates elevation (bonification).

You will see several conditions that can negate affliction:

  • Elevation
  • Spear-Bearers or Guarded Stars
  • Mutual Reception

Affliction Negated by Spear-Bearing

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR)

Mercury in the Aquarius 6th House at 27° in a right trine to Mars in the Gemini 10th House at 27°.

Mars afflicts Mercury. However, Mars (a nocturnal star) is angular and Moon trails Mars in close proximity. Moon spear-bears for Mars. Mars as a guarded star will not harm Mercury so Mercury is not afflicted.

Affliction Negated by Mutual Reception

Donald Trump

Normally:

  • Jupiter in the Libra 3rd House is afflicted by the right square from Saturn in the Cancer 12th House; and
  • Venus as domicile master of the Libra 3rd House being in the 12th House afflicts Jupiter by counteraction

In both instances the affliction is negated by mutual reception. Remember we’re doing natal astrology. In natal astrology, mutual reception only occurs by:

  • Communion
  • House-Exaltation
  • Exaltation-Exaltation

There’s no such thing as mutual reception by sign or bounds and there damn sure ain’t no such thing as mutual reception by decans/faces.

Here, the affliction of Jupiter by Venus is negated by mutual reception house-exaltation. Jupiter is in the house of Venus and Venus is in the exaltation of Jupiter. The affliction by Saturn is also negated. Libra is the exaltation of Saturn and Cancer is the exaltation of Jupiter so we have mutual reception by exaltation-exaltation.

Affliction Negated by Elevation

Robert Altman

Saturn in the Scorpio 6th House is afflicted by domicile master Mars being in the 12th House. Jupiter saves the day. Saturn is in a right sextile to Jupiter in the same degree which elevates Saturn and negates the affliction by Mars. If you’re a glass-half-empty kinda person then Saturn in right sextile in the same degree as Jupiter elevates Saturn but that’s negated by domicile master Mars being in the 12th House.

In this chart, Saturn is neither afflicted nor elevated.

Mars is not afflicted since domicile master Venus is in the 9th House which is an advantageous house. Counteraction by placement.

Mercury and Venus are afflicted since domicile master Saturn is in the 6th House. Counteraction by placement.

Saturn in Scorpio. This is where stupid people who can’t translate texts correctly mess people up. Scorpio is the “generative places.” Not the “re-generative places.” What does domicile master Mars rule? The head? Sure, but the head as a “generative places” doesn’t make a lick of sense. What else does Mars rule? Blood. We have “generative places” and blood. What does Saturn rule? Bones.

Blood. Generative places. Bones.

Bone marrow generates red and white blood cells and since Scorpio is a prolific sign, lots of red blood cells or lots of white blood cells. Altman died at age 81 of leukemia which is a condition where the bone marrow produces too many white blood cells. There are other conditions where the bone marrow produces too many red blood cells, or not enough or none at all or they are defective in some way. The point being you’re not qualified to make a medical diagnosis but you should be able to recognize a blood disorder when you see it.

Gordon Brown

At first glance Mars appears to be elevated by enclosure since Mars is sammiched between Jupiter and Venus.

Alas, Mars is in the Pisces 12th House with domicile master Jupiter and that afflicts Mars and negates the elevation. Mars is neither afflicted nor elevated in this chart.

Jupiter domiciled in the 12th House is afflicted and so are Venus and Sun co-present with Jupiter.

House delineation principles: Sun as domicile ruler of the Leo 5th House in the 12th House.

You have no idea how badly Sun wanted to kill that child.

One of Gordon Brown’s children (Leo=fixed sign=one) has cerebral palsy. Why didn’t that child die? Well, who is the domicile master of the Leo 5th House?

Not Sun. Sun’s in aversion in Pisces. The other two fire trigon rulers Mars and Jupiter are also in Pisces and in aversion. We have to go to the fire triplicity rulers and the only remaining candidate is Saturn. Saturn sextiles the Leo from the Libra 7th House making Saturn the domicile master.

Isn’t Saturn retrograde? What does retrograde mean? C’mon, people you should know that by heart by now.

Retrograde means something or someone will suffer a serious set-back, major reversal of fortune or circumstance, be rejected, denied, thwarted or frustrated, or be ruined or destroyed or will fall apart.

And it means that 100% of the time in 100% of charts no exceptions ever.

November 5, 2024, U.S. presidential elections. One of the two transiting significators for Donald Trump was retrograde Saturn transiting his Pisces 8th House. This is natal astrology, not horary astrology. From Day #1 of natal astrology the 8th House is legal matters and lawsuits no matter what anyone else says or thinks because that is what was written 2,600 years ago and it will be true 2,600 years from now.

If you are a plaintiff or prosecutor in a lawsuit and you see a retrograde planet as an active significator transiting your 8th House you’ll be balling your eyes out. But if you are a defendant or a criminal defendant (like Trump was) then you’re doing the Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy Dance.

Why? We just told you why. What does retrograde meant? It means what the Greeks said it means 100% of the time in 100% of charts no exceptions ever.

A novice astrologer would have recognized that the criminal lawsuits filed against Trump in the District of Columbia and the States of Florida, Georgia and New York were about to suffer a serious set-back; a reversal of circumstance; be denied, rejected, thwarted or frustrated, or ruined or fall apart.

What happened in reality? Exactly what we just said. Why? What does retrograde mean 100% of the time in 100% of charts no exceptions ever?

Why would the lawsuits against Trump be dismissed? Mmmh? If Harris wins the election is she going to stop the lawsuits? Is she going to pardon Trump? Nope. Trump ends up in prison.

So the only way those lawsuits get dismissed is if Trump wins the election which he did and that is what retrograde Saturn was telling everyone. Yes, you are allowed to use common sense in astrology. Sadly, petrified dinosaur doo-doo has more common sense than 98% of the idiots on the internet pretending to be astrologers.

The only two active transiting significators for Harris were retrograde Jupiter transiting her 1st House which means her life suffers a major set-back or reversal of fortune etc, etc and retrograde Saturn transiting her 10th House which means her career suffers a major set-back or reversal of fortune etc etc.

Just to make sure everyone understands, the two transiting significators for Harris (Jupiter and Saturn) and for Trump (Mars and Saturn) were derived from their zodiacal releasing tables but it wouldn’t matter if you used decennials, profections or circumnabulations, because every transiting star in Harris’ chart showed she loses the election.

Back to retrograde Saturn in Gordon Brown’s chart as domicile master of the Leo 5th House. Retrograde Saturn rejects, denies, frustrates, thwarts, or ruins Sun’s attempt to kill that child and that is a wonderful thing. Sun afflicted also prevented Sun from killing that child.

Who is the domicile master of the Capricorn 10th House? Retrograde Saturn.

What happened to Gordon Brown’s career? Well, he got fired. Voted out of office.

We just wanted you to see a chart where a retrograde planet did a good thing (protecting the child) and simultaneously did a not-good thing (getting Brown kicked out of office).

Final Thoughts

  • Be thorough when examining each star in the chart. No point in doing the Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy Dance or gouging out your eyes only to discover the star you thought was elevated is negated by affliction or the star you thought was afflicted was negated by elevation
  • Elevation and affliction often result in a star functioning as a retrograde planet or exalted star:
    • Affliction can prevent a star from doing harm it would otherwise do
    • Elevation can allow a star to do more harm

  1. When affliction is negated or elevation is negated, does the star in question return to its original state? For example, if Jupiter were in Aries in the 9th and Mars, the domicile master in this scenario, was badly placed in the 12th in Cancer, would the negation by exaltation-exaltation barring any other factors make Jupiter remain in good condition being well placed in the 9th?
