Chart Delineation: Kamala Harris Step #3

Our third step in chart interpretation is judging the condition of each star in the chart.

If you did not do Steps #1 & #2 correctly then you will fail because you won’t be able to apply the rules of astrology correctly.

Step #3: Judging the Conditions of the Stars

We will make use of the following concepts:

  • Sect
  • Houses
  • Counteraction by Sect
  • Counteraction by Placement
  • Enclosure
  • Phase Cycles
  • Spear-bearing
  • Affliction
  • Elevation

You will use those concepts to judge the condition of the stars. You can go in Sumerian (Chaldean) order, reverse Sumerian order, by house rulers, in zodiac order or diurnal motion. Your choice. We’re going to start with sect.

Team Sun: Sun, Jupiter and Saturn
Team Moon: Moon, Venus and Mars
Common: Mercury — the free agent

We like Robert Schmidt’s view that sect is like political parties and to keep it simple for the Europeans that visit us, we’ll say Team Sun is the Conservative Party and Team Moon is the Liberal Party. When the Conservatives are in power, they want to push their agenda and Liberals try to thwart them. When the Liberals are in power they have their agenda and Conservatives try to thwart them.

But sometimes when Conservatives are in power Liberals side with Conservatives to pass legislation and the opposite is also true. When Liberals are in power sometimes Conservatives side with them to get legislation passed.

That’s how it works in your chart.

Two sides. One is light. One is dark. The chart sect determines which side is in power. The opposing side will either hinder or help.

The chart is nocturnal. That means Team Moon — Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars — are in the driver’s seat. Mercury’s sect is determined by chart sect.

We’ll go in reverse Sumerian order to judge the condition of the stars.

For simplicity’s sake, the conditions are: Elevated, Good, Neutral, Bad, Afflicted

The idiots making astrology way harder than it has to be is why people struggle reading charts.

Moon: Neutral

Moon is the sect light and sect leader. The domicile master (not the domicile ruler) is the “dispositor” and there are two concepts that involve that. We determined Mars is the domicile ruler and master of the Aries 11th House. As the dispositor, Mars being in the 3rd House which is a house without advantage counteracts by placement the good position of Moon in the 11th House. Mars is the final dispositor. We don’t play the Modern astrology game chasing our tails going ’round and ’round with this dispositor and that dispositor and still totally botch the chart interpretation.

Moon is a nocturnal star in a diurnal sign (Aries) ruled by fellow nocturnal sect-mate Mars. What’s the problem? No problem. Even better, Moon is in the bounds of Mars. We judge Moon’s condition as neutral.

Mercury: Afflicted

Since the chart is nocturnal, Mercury plays for Team Moon. Mercury is a nocturnal star in a nocturnal sign (Scorpio) and who is the domicile master? Fellow sect-mate Mars. What’s the problem? Well, there is a problem but that isn’t it. Mercury is afflicted by being badly placed in the 6th House. Dispositor Mars is in the 3rd House which is a house without advantage (in this chart but not all charts). Mars does not counteract the bad placement of Mercury, so Mercury is afflicted.

Venus: Afflicted

Venus is in the Virgo 4th House. There is no such thing as “fall” or “detriment.” Unfortunately, we cannot disprove that in this chart using Venus due to the Null Hypothesis. Venus is a nocturnal star in a nocturnal sign with sect-mate Mercury as domicile master. That is not a problem but the fact that Mercury is badly placed in the 6th House is a problem because that counteracts Venus by placement and causes Venus to be afflicted.

That Venus is afflicted satisfies the Null Hypothesis.

Sun: Good

Happily, Sun does disprove “fall” and “detriment.” There’s nothing wrong with Sun in this chart. Sun is a diurnal star in a diurnal sign with sect-mate Saturn as domicile master. The 5th House is an advantageous house. What’s the problem? No problem at all. We judge Sun’s condition to be good.

Mars: Neutral

Mars is poorly (not badly) placed in the 3rd House which is without advantage. Domicile master Sun counteracts the poor placement of Mars. We also have nocturnal star Mars in a diurnal sign ruled by diurnal star Sun. That is counteraction by sect. Mars does not want to be ruled by diurnal stars. This is also why we judge Moon to be neutral since Moon is in the bounds of Mars who is ruled by a star of the opposite sect.

Jupiter: Afflicted

Jupiter is afflicted by being badly placed in the 12th House. Venus as domicile master of Taurus in the advantageous 4th House counteracts Jupiter’s bad placement. Even so, Jupiter is afflicted by the malefic rays of Mars and Saturn. Mars at Leo 21° hurls a ray to Taurus 21° landing behind Jupiter and Saturn at Aquarius 28° hurls a ray to Taurus 28° in front of Jupiter. Jupiter at Taurus 24° is enclosed, boxed-in, or trapped and that afflicts Jupiter.

Even worse, Jupiter is in a nocturnal sign ruled by afflicted Venus. If you were wondering when do the Liberals help the Conservative Party or when does the Conservative Party help the Liberals, this would be one of those times. Jupiter was “drafted” by domicile master Venus to help Team Moon. Unfortunately, afflicted Jupiter doesn’t help very much.

Yes, Jupiter is retrograde but retrograde doesn’t affect you on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. It only comes into play when the figures or configurations Jupiter makes are activated.

Saturn: Good

Saturn is domiciled in Aquarius. But more than that, Saturn is in his own bounds so he answers to no one. Granted, bounds are an advanced concept but it doesn’t hurt to look at the bound rulers for the stars. The 9th House is an advantageous house so good for Saturn. Sure, Saturn is retrograde but, again, that only comes into play when the figures Saturn makes are activated.

To summarize:

  • Moon: Neutral
  • Mercury: Afflicted
  • Venus: Afflicted
  • Sun: Good
  • Mars: Neutral
  • Jupiter: Afflicted
  • Saturn: Good

No stars are in the 1st or 10th Houses and the only angular star is Venus in Virgo so there is no spear-bearing in this chart.

Just so we’re clear on the concept, a beginning astrologer has just seen 6 of 8 indicators telling you Kamala Harris cannot be president of the United States:

  1. We have now seen 6 of the 8 clues a novice astrologer could see telling you Kamala Harris will not be president of the United States:
    1. Afflicted Mercury as domicile ruler of the Gemini Ascendant
    2. Afflicted Venus as domicile master of the Gemini Ascendant
    3. Afflicted Jupiter as domicile ruler and master of the Pisces 10th House
    4. Afflicted Jupiter ruled by afflicted Venus
    5. Jupiter retrograde
    6. Saturn retrograde

And yet people pretending to be astrologers were predicting she would.

For an advanced or experienced astrologer there are 12 indicators.

You must interpret the entire chart before you can make predictions otherwise all you’re doing is making up predictions.
