Summary of House Meanings
- 1st House: Your life
- 2nd House: Your income, real estate you own, assets and personal possessions, business partners
- 3rd House: Siblings, other relatives, family friends, travel away from home typically related to visiting family, relatives, friends, your birth-place or homeland
- 4th House: Your home in the sense of residence or household, the people living under your roof, parents, the local community
- 5th House: Children and all random chance lucky events that benefit you or your household
- 6th House: Disease, illness, injury, and accidents that are typically not fatal (although they might shorten your life-span), hidden enemies, people inferior to you and beasts of burden
- 7th House: Death, marriage, sexual union, bestest friends, and travel away from home for extended periods or relocation
- 8th House: Death, benefits from the dead, legacies, trusts and lawsuits
- 9th House: Government, authority, wisdom and learning, fellowship related to those four concepts, travel away from home especially for those purposes including tourist and spectator travel
- 10th House: Career, reputation, social rank or standing, and spouse
- 11th House: Authority granted to you, patronage, allies (meaning co-workers) and associations (meaning colleagues)
- 12th House: Enemies and all manner of losses due to disease, illness, injury, accident or crime resulting in loss of life, hearing, speech, eyesight, mobility (as in hemiplegic, paraplegic or quadriplegic), limbs by traumatic or surgical amputation, income, property, spouse, children, parents or siblings, or loss of freedom as incarceration or captivity (including POWs, hostages, sex slaves or slave laborers), or loss of home as in fleeing a conflict zone, persecution or prosecution.
What is a good way to figure out what a star means in each house? For me this gets even more complicated when a star is in a certain house while ruling another house and even more so when you factor in derivative houses. For example, would Venus ruling the 7th being in the 11th mean close friends, your marriage or something dealing with voluntary relocation/extended stay?
Who in the 11th House would Venus be talking about. Co-workers? Colleagues? Since it is Venus, I would rule out granted authority. If she is in the confines of Mercury would she represents people in things like writing or something like that?
